When you are trying to start/run an online business, how what are some ways to keep on top of things? Organisation strategies etc?

I have seperate emails for my biz stuff, but if things are starting off slow, is there a way to set up a notification thing so an alert or something will let you know if a customer bought something or is asking a question etc?

I know this is probably the most noob question ever, but anyone got any life hacks for this?

I just keep my phone and computer sound on and it alerts me 😊

@caccoon does it still alert you if you have multiple unlinked email addresses tho?

@Fishy What do you mean by unlinked?

I use a mail program called mailbird, and I keep all of my emails on there so I get notifications from all whenever it syncs

@caccoon I didn't know about apps like mailbird 😅

But I mean like, in chrome I am signed in with a few different email addresses and I can toggle from one to another,

But other email addresses I'm signed into a few different email addresses a completely different browser,

I'm totally gonna check out mailbird tho,

It looks helpful, thanks C:

@caccoon I also been hearing a lot about how some people have multiple niches and multiple income streams and I'm all like: woah, how do they keep up with all that? 👀

@Fishy Yes, mail programs are great!! It will really help keep you organised 😊

Another thing I find that helps is having specific days you do certain things, and always structure your week the same way. Like, this day I create new products, this day I list new products, these days I ship, these days I refill inventory and prep supplies

Depending what your business is 😊 also, a physical calendar on your wall and a planner, +ideas book

@Fishy It can be scrambly and crazy, but doable 😊

@caccoon another quick question I have is,

How do you deal with orders if you suddenly get like a million orders of something?
It there a way you can put a limit on things so you don't get snowed under?
caccoon · 36-40
@Fishy I'm not sure where/what you're selling, but personally I have never had that problem 😅😅

You could try limiting your available stock

@caccoon I'm not really selling anything (physical) yet,
Just print on demand stuff,

But its just a scenario I often wonder about 😅

Like if it's a popular/trending item or something 😅

I've heard about these types of things happening with drop shipping from time to time

@Fishy I hope it goes well for you!

I am sure that you'll figure things out as you go along and find solutions to your problems. Good luck!! 😊💙
