Shrinkflation: Why do corporations constantly try to rip us off by reducing the size and quality of products but keep the price the same?

Is it because they worked hard for that money?

Meanwhile the people who actually work hard in these companies are paid at or just above minimum wage and sometimes need a second job just to afford their existence
