If Trump forces US manufacturing businesses to bring manufacturing back to the USA...

Will people in the USA (and elsewhere) be prepared to pay 5 to 10 times as much for the same products made to the same standards of quality and safety due to the much higher wages and costs than is the case with Chinese, Indian, Pakistan, and other like-slavery labour markets?

Or will those manufacturers be forced to cut costs (ie. quality and safety because real wages in the USA are harder to force down to China-like levels) and produce/sell inferior products just to keep prices on par or not too far above what all the imported Chinese, Indian, etc. made products are selling for now?

Think electric cars (and non-electric cars), phones/computers/tvs/whitegoods/tools, clothing, etc.

It is possible to manufacture stuff here with minimal labor costs but the up front automation expense is very high. The quality would likely be very good if it is executed properly, which it should be, for minimal scrap and returns.
He won't. It is all talk. Last time he outsource 200 000 US jobs.

Including the Carrier factory he did a photo op at last time around.
Considering the costs of oceanic shipping and tariffs will be eliminated, the prices will go down. Economics 101
