Is my idea for a business a good one?

Netflix is shutting down it's long-running DVD -by-mail service where,for a flat monthly fee,you could order up to 8 DVDs at a time and return them whenever you felt like.In many ways,shutting it down did make business sense because streaming is such a dominant force now.But I've read that many people are expressing regret and dismay over the closure.That makes me think that if some independent,third party company replicated their business model and started their own such service,it could make money.Do you think it could work?
