Consumers are being told that prices are rising because transport fuel costs are rising

Yes, they are rising, so why are they rising?
Global Economic conditions, Russia/Ukraine war, Supply disruptions.
Okay, then why have the biggest oil companies - Shell, ExxonMobil, BP, Chevron, and ConocoPhillips - made $75 billion profit last year?
We, the consumers are being duped daily by all and sundry.
My car insurance rose again. I questioned the company why.
Their response in part was - "Insurance premiums have been increasing year on year, this has been due to the current global climate."

So we just have to accept "year on year" price rises.
Well, I cancelled my insurance, not accepting the mantra - Insurance premiums rise "Year on Year"
New insurance saved me over $400.

Im looking for a new insurer , it so hard to pick .

Prices are becoming obscene. Ant pay increase i get is instantly absorbed, (and then some), by basic life expenses .
We are going backwards .

@OogieBoogie I went with Budget Direct Car Insurance
The top rated Car Insurance company in Australia.
I saved $405 on Comprehensive Cover.
I am sick of being told that there is nothing the consumer can do about rising prices.
@Gusman oh gee!
Thanks for that 🤗. All this does my head in trying to compare.

Appreciate ur advice.
