Jean duck. This was an old lady I knew, who filled her house with model ducks.
From her two up, two down cottage she ran a dating agency. If someone rang on the phone, she usually had her answerphone on with the message, ‘ the office is now closed, it will reopen in three weeks time’.
If you were unlucky enough to get through, she had two A4 files, one for men, one for women’. Unfortunately she dropped them on the floor and got them mixed up. So she never had a clue who had dated whom.
