I Love Birds

In my last post I talked about birds of prey! Top of the food chain! But we have other birds on the farm. Robins and blackbirds are quite common but they are shy. I see lots of jays and sometimes a green woodpecker. I often hear woodpeckers in the trees. In the summer the martens arrive. They are sensible. They spend the winter in Africa. That's where they are now! But I love to watch them in the summer. They are so agile in the air as they swoop and I suppose catch their food!
And we have guinea fowl on the farm. Bad tempered? You bet they are!
