@caPnAhab They'll test you. They'll go for weeks not messing with you and then one day they'll just run up and start biting, just out the blue. And you have to figure out exactly how much you can safely physically dominate them without injuring them.
I had a pair a long time ago, and the female would avoid me, but the male would bite me when I was trying to get eggs. I figured out I could safely throw him across the backyard, and he would always land safely. He would avoid me for a couple of weeks after that, then do it again.
