I used to do that, and feed all the other birds, (even the wild turkeys for a while till they tore up my garden), and I loved watching them. Unfortunately, I no longer live in a place where we are allowed to feed the birds.

@4meAndyou What about hummingbirds? Their feeders arent messy.😊

@Blondily Yes. My neighbors complained bitterly that the seeds from my other feeders attracted vermin...because the seeds fell to the lawn, and that section of lawn is NEAR the patio where people can hang their laundry. I was told I had to take the feeders down.

So I put out my hummingbird feeders, and then the neighbors complained about those, also, because the bright red plastic attracted squirrels, which climbed up the side of the building and jumped onto the feeders. They also attracted bees. And I was told I had to take THOSE feeders down.

So I still have my double sided wrought iron bird feeder holder outside, and since I am not allowed to feed ANY birds...I've bought solar hummingbird mobiles, and I have one on each hook of the feeder holder. It's not the same at all...but it reminds me of what used to be.

@Blondily I am a rule follower, not a rule breaker. I behave quietly and meekly for the most part, in RL. HERE, of course, I can be myself.

There IS a new neighbor whose window is right near the front door, and she has a bird feeder stuck to her window with suction cups, and the seed is all over the ground, and little birds are hopping about on the ground whenever I walk past...and I COULD make a big fuss, and ask why SHE is allowed a bird feeder, and I am not. But I'm terribly afraid they would just take HER bird feeder away from her.

That's not fair to you@4meAndyou!!!
Im the same way, bolder online. lol We have another problem with our neighbors. We are quiet and try our best not to make noise but they tormented us for weeks hitting their ceiling at night while we are sleeping. Manager doesn't do a thing so we're looking for a new place. Without any neighbors. So sick of rules, etc that OTHERS dont follow. We need quiet. So tired of other people getting away with stuff. Im so done!!!

@Blondily Yes, I remember your post about your ceiling bangers. I am glad you are moving. You will be SO much happier!

@4meAndyou I hate looking and moving tho. Yet since Ive been looking they've been quieter. 😂

@Blondily You know that's probably the calm before the storm. And then there is the owner, who brings all those undesirables onto your back lawn.

I have moved a LOT...and it is probably ONE of the most stressful things you can do. But you are in a bad place, and it has to be done. Just remember that packing, moving, and unpacking is max ONE month out of your life, and it will IMPROVE your life.

I hear you and you're right@4meAndyou
We've been here 13 years. Lots of memories. Beautiful view so we're being very picky where we end up.
