Boo-Boo Made Me Laugh Yesterday….

@Sojournersoul He definitely knows how to get my attention. If nothing else he’ll start EEPing with high-pitched EEPs or saying “B-B-B-B-B Baby Bird” or something else. Wants me to tell him he’s a cute bird. He’ll do it when I am talking to the boy or in the kitchen cooking etc.

@Sojournersoul Boo-Boo had a couple of spells where he would call for me when I was gone. The first time I’d left for medical treatment and didn’t tell him goodbye, believe he was sleeping. Before I got home he started up chirping loudly & non-stop thinking I was in my bedroom and he was wanting me to come into the living room. I think he was worried about me. The boy went over to his cage and told him “she will be back soon.” He asked “How long?” 😳. And a few days later I told him I was leaving. He asked “Where you going?” This time I explained to him in simple terms as though he could understand. Told him I had been sick and have to go to see a doctor to get medicine to make me better. Like when you parakeets get sick and don’t want to eat I give you vitamins and other medicine to make you feel better. I believe he understands what I told him because he doesn’t throw a fit any more when I’m gone or ask where I’m going. So anytime he asks me a question now I will try to explain in better and in simple terms as though he’s a young child.
