Wild geese. I see them fly over the lake and I wish I could fly with them.

@helenS ugh! Geese? There are millions of them on the lake at the farm. Snows and Canadas. Their incessant "honking" can be a bit much and they are loud. But our lake is a ducks unlimited refuge so its part of the ambiance. In the spring and summer most move out. We have few pairs that like to nest in the flowerbeds by the house. They walk around like they own the place and keep the mulch clean. then they swim in the pool. When my son was younger one stole his sandwich and ate if for him while we were having a cook out.

@helenS I am in awe of a goose's ability to fly. As I pilot I watched a goose sideslip in to land on a small pond. Slide slipping is a bit tricky in an airplane but the goose just effortlessly drops one wing and loses altitude quickly without gaining speed.

@hippyjoe1955 All our technical devices are just gimmicks, compared to those beautiful animals!

@hippyjoe1955 They have the ultimate "feel" of the aircraft in flight. I learned on a twin engine turbo prop for 16 years , then when I finally get my pilots license and feel like I have that plane mastered...He sells it for a flying computer. It wont let you stick and rudder, it puts you in the optimal position at all times. I am lucky it lets me take off and land all though it can autoland . Crazy computerized air plane. All I had to do was master the avionics
