There’s a Mockingbird In This Neighborhood Who Is Being a Jerk…

He sits up in the neighbors big trees and squalls like a baby kitten, he’s loud too. Twice I’ve went into my yard looking for a kitten that got strayed over here and never found it. Then I saw that mockingbird fly away squalling like a baby kitten. Probably the same one that sung like a canary on April Fool’s Day a few years ago Had me looking that time too

It probably heard one recently and liked the sound of it. Those silly things will sing all night long in the summer. They may be the state bird but dang I wish they could shut up!

@TexChik He hasn’t done it at night yet. I had one mockingbird that would get in the neighbor’s tree next to my bedroom and start singing after midnight at least once a night.
