Are you superstitious?

My rational brain tells me these were just stories we told to scare our children into behaving.

But I also left an offering to the little people because 😬

My grandma told me weird stories of creatures in the forest, a bit like W. T. Cox' "Fearsome Creatures of the Lumberwoods".
For example, the "axe man": a man with an axe in his right hand, and his own head under his left arm. 😬
