So has anyone had a paranormal experience that they would like to share? What happened and where did it happen?

Being an amateur paranormal investigator I've had several. Here's one of my quicker stories. Most are long, too long to type out.

This happened close to 15 years ago. At the time my wife and I were living in a trailer. We were getting ready for bed one night and she was in the bedroom and I was in the other end of the trailer looking for something. I found it and was about to head to the bedroom when I heard a voice that sounded exactly like my Dad! The voice called out to me, called me by name! Well my Dad lived nowhere near us. But I thought I'd check around and look outside. I turned on the outside lights and looked around. There was no one around anywhere that I could see. I never heard that voice again. Very strange. I called my Dad the next day and told him about it. He thought it was strange also. He assured me that it was not him. I figured it wasn't but I needed to check and tell him about it anyway. That was just the tip of the iceberg of the activity that we got while living there. Many other things happened to us. Nothing threatening, but mischievous, and attention getting. I was already interested in the paranormal before we lived there. Had many other experiences in the previous places that I (as had my wife) had lived in before. But after everything that happened to us there we both began to study and investigate. So our hobby of paranormal investigations started there in that trailer.

@Jayghost I'm ok, yes. Still a little skittish about certain things, I'm very hesitant to watch freaky movies in my house, afraid it'll draw her back but....
The first time was at my mom's house. I was sound asleep and have no idea what woke me up but there was so much pressure on my whole body that I was actually tingling and could barely breath. I could barely turn my head & when I did, I saw her. I tried to yell for my mom to help me but I couldn't even breathe, much less yell, all I could do was gasp. And suddenly, she was just gone.
The second time was in my own house, a few months ago, not nearly as intense, I think because I was more prepared that time. But it was definitely the same spirit.
I've seen plenty, they're mostly just curious & harmless but this one was pissed and I have no idea why.
Also,a couple weeks ago, my cat suddenly went off the rails & was all bristled up & growling, looking around the room as if he saw something & was watching it...

@Tumbleweed Wow! Well, to me, it kinda sounds like you may have an attachment. Those are kinda hard to get rid of. Alot of people differ on exactly how to get rid of one without pissing it off even more, but most agree (as do I) to have a cleansing done to yourself. Maybe even see a priest about being blessed. Plus just to be on the safe side it may not hurt to have your home and your mother's home blessed as well. Now I'm not a religious person at all but I do think there is spiritual power in being blessed. You may want to think about having it done. If you do please let me know how it goes.

@Jayghost I've definitely thought about that. My mom collects antiques and I do believe they've gotten into her house that way. Like I said, they're harmless. She's never seen them but I have. And I also believe the angry one followed me here....

@Tumbleweed Ahhhh... Yes, the antiques! That's a definite way for certain that the spirits have gotten in. They can attach themselves to any object or item. My wife and I had similar experiences after we bought an old antique clock. Nothing sinister happened but we heard voices and even a total conversation when it was only the two of us there. Plus things occasionally moved and we also heard strange noises that we couldn't explain. So after a few months we got rid of the clock and all of that stopped.
Yes it sounds like something followed you home. Again we've had that happen to us before as well. After visiting a haunted location, things began to happen around the house. NEW activity on top of the activity that we already had that is. We'd see shadow figures moving through the hallway and loud noises at times. Voices were very common place. Again, nothing threatening, but it did seem like it wanted our help. So we decided that it wanted to be returned to where we got it from. So we decided to return, but that's another story. But to skip over that part of the story, the activity in our home stopped. At least that new activity did.

@Jayghost I think for me it was just a feeling, just sensing their presence. My father & that side of the family was very superstitious so I suppose it came from that, maybe? Then I would hear things and eventually was able to actually see a few. Just flashes of them really. But I just always knew they were there. I was told that when I was a baby, there was a black lady named Janie who lived down the path from my greatgrandmother and Janie used to hold me, feed me, etc, but she died before I could develop memories of her. Well her house burnt down and I believe she died in that fire so I used to walk down to her house and walk around in what was left of it, I guess maybe trying to connect with her.

@Tumbleweed Oh wow! That's amazing! For me I think going way back to when I was a kid. There was something in the house that I grew up in. It wasn't threatening, but as a kid I was scared shitless! Whatever it was, it only was active around me, never my Mom or Dad. They never experienced anything. They thought I was imagining things but I definitely was not! It was little things like turning my bedroom lights either on or off depending on what they were originally. Shut my bedroom door when I wasn't in there. Cold spots and occasional movement of objects. Everything happened when I wasn't there to witness it except for the movement of some objects which I saw first hand on a couple of occasions. Like one time, I had a toy chest in my bedroom closet. Usually most of my toys I kept on top of the chest instead of in it. Well one day when I was playing in my room the toys I had on top of the chest decided to fall off of it unexpectedly! I wasn't anywhere near it when it happened. But I was in the room when it happened with the closet door wide open. Insane it with my own two eyes. Then another time I witnessed that same closet door close on it's own! It didn't slam shut, but just very slowly shut and latched! So ever since then I've been interested in the paranormal.
