Have you ever been a part of any séance or Ouija board experiment?

I have always refrained from being a part of any such gatherings. It's not because I fear the paranormal stuff, but I am a firm believer in the aspect that it is better not to disturb those who have already walked into the afterlife. I studied parapsychology for a few months at university, just out of curiosity, as gore and horror stuff is my favourite genre since childhood. The professor there often stated the dead better not be disturbed.

He would often give an easy-to-understand example. He asked us, if you're asleep and somebody disturbs you, how would you react to it? Most of us said, We'll be angry, annoyed, agitated, etc. He then explained this is exactly the case with the dead. They are happy in the other world; you poking them, intentionally or unintentionally, means you're inviting trouble. Simply because you don't know which entity you have awakened. Therefore, he advised the students not to experiment with Ouija boards or perform seances until you're trained on them.

Most people experiment with these things, and they regret the decision later. One must know how to close the gateway properly. By inviting the spirits to speak to you, you are opening the gateway, but if you don't know the process to close the gateway and send them back, trust me, you could get into trouble because these entities can attach themselves to you. What happens later? Well, it doesn't need to be elaborated.

10 years ago, a friend of mine was a part of such an experiment. Well, nothing bad happened to her, but a friend of hers fainted during the activity and addressed herself as someone else after coming back to her senses. My friend told me that her parents literally had to seek a priest's help to get her back to normal. Doctors weren't able to understand her condition at all. This is what I was informed of; the real story is unknown to date. I am not in touch with that friend anymore.

Do you have an eerie experience to share?

Yeah, kind of. My friend Brian had just gotten back from Job Corps in Sedro-Woolley, Washington. One of the first things he did was come over to my house to hang out, because we hadn't seen each other in a couple of years. As he walked in the door, he noticed that my family's Ouija board was sitting out. I hadn't gotten it out, and he hadn't gotten it out, but each of us assumed the other had done it. So we decided to play with it.

We apparently got in touch with someone who wanted to convey to us that we were to make a sacrifice to the sun god. At that point, Brian said thank you and took his hands off the planchet, and told me to do the same. He said it was a prank by one of his friends from Job Corps, rather than a spirit.
