Once in the early PC days, a computer code misbehaved one time and I could never discover why. It was very simple loop in assembler code where absolutely everything was accounted for, a very simple loop, and like "this was impossible", and when I tried it again it worked as programmed. Nearest I could figure was an interrupt by the operating system that didn't put the pieces back where they were. But that's still a one in a million guess. So it was like an angel or the devil just kicked a bit over to warn me that even computers make mistakes.
