England is full of legends

I have lived in many parts of England - and elsewhere - and every corner has local myths and legends. I love the old stories of smugglers and highwaymen, dragons and ghosts, black hounds and haunted pubs. My late husband loved to tour the local pubs and ask about the ghost stories.
I found different types of mythology when I lived in Scotland and Ireland.
And even some in the USA, which was great for such a young country.

Have you looked for Nessie?

@TheWildEcho When I was in Scotland I took a boat on Loch Ness. I didn't see her, though.

@TheWildEcho I am jealous of Scotland having a Nessie and England hasn't got one. I think we should kidnap her, take her to Lake Windermere and call her Windy. The Jocks might object, though.

@HarrietteSpeedy a local hotelier claimed there was a monster in Windermere, he called it Bownessie lol

@TheWildEcho See? We've already captured Nessie! England one: Scotland nothing.
