Do you think people in hell will experience extreme pain nonstop forever and ever?

How would that even be possible if your body is dead. I don't see how a soul could feel pain when all pain really is is when nerve receptors sense something wrong and send signals to your brain. With no nerves or no brain, how could there be actual physical pain?
