Haram ones come from Jewish women's breasts
BittersweetPotato · 31-35, F
@Nanori You have an answer gor every phuking thing 🥔🤣🤣
goliathtree · 56-60, M
likely no different than the standard stuff. I remember working in the packing house...we had a rabbi on one end of the line doing his thing and a cleric on the other end doing his thing. The balancing act was not to let either know the other was there. The only difference was the labels on the packaging.

@goliathtree only more money and power to the religion
Dolimyte · 41-45, M
Buzz word, like organic, or GMO free. If it's not explicitly haram you can call it halal.
BittersweetPotato · 31-35, F
@Dolimyte Indeed, and increase their customer base... Similarly i remember seeing before things like frozen veggies where vegetarian/vegan was written over the pack. and i am like, what else would it be! 🥔🤷🏽♀️

Does "halal" imply anything about animals being treated humanely in the course of producing the product, or that the facility was blessed by an imam ?
BittersweetPotato · 31-35, F
@DrWatson Halal linguistically mean that something is not prohibited. But in the context of food, it is usually used to mean something doesn't contain pork or that the animal was slaughtered, certain way (cutting their vein) with a sharp knife.. I personally would argue that this is not the most humane way (if there is a humane way to kill anyway) but that what halal meat means, doesn't have to do with being humane as much as obeying a certain method in slaughter.

Some yogurts use gelatin to thicken and maintain consistency so this doesn't have gelatin derived from pork most likely
