To go to heaven you need to do alot of good work. Feed those poor people, give hospitality to everyone around you. And when you die people will say your name in good respect and the prayers of your good deeds will take you to heaven.

@littlepuppywantanewlife Only faith in Jesus Christ will save you. Salvation is a free gift and does not result from our good works. It must be accepted by faith so you will receive the Holy Spirit and eternal life. It happened the night I was born again.
@leowander I am not a Christian. I follow world's oldest religion. Good deeds helps you to go to heaven.
leowander · M
@littlepuppywantanewlife They are a fruit of the Holy Spirit dwelling inside you, but faith comes first. Jesus Christ paid it all on the cross for everyone who will accept him as Lord and Savior. Good works will follow as a fruit and evidence of true salvation.
@leowander oh ok. People who follow other gods go to heaven too.
leowander · M
@littlepuppywantanewlife Only the blood of Jesus Christ can save anyone. He clearly stated in the Bible, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me'.
@leowander what about those who lived and came before Jesus? What about the gods who created the whole universe and mankind?
leowander · M
@littlepuppywantanewlife Only one God created the universe and mankind. People could still be saved prior to Jesus Christ walking the earth and dying on the cross, but he established the New Covenant in the New Testament. Now salvation is as simple as accepting his final work on the cross as a substitute for all our sins and receiving the God imputed righteousness of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus was there all along Jesus is the great I Am@littlepuppywantanewlife
@saintsong Yes he is great. I am from different religion and we have different gods and goddesses and temples.

What religion is that I’m curious to know because the Jews were Gods chosen race Jesus was there as it says in Genesis let us make man in our image that “US” is God the Father Jesus the Son and His Holy Spirit they created the heavens and the earth it says so in Genesis There were alway pegan gods from the beginning as well but those were led by demons who wanted to be God’s I know because I dabbled in the occult before I became a Christian and my demons whispered in my ears I am god when I knew full well that they were not! God’s first commandment is thou shalt have no other Gods before me and one of his 10 commandments is thou shalt not commit idolatry that is to worship any idol be it a man a god or a statue or anything that one could obsess over I always thought that Jeudiesm was the first religion based on the one true God Christianity is the fulfillment of Jeudiesm in Christ for All of the world both Jew and Gentile @littlepuppywantanewlife
@saintsong I respect your belief. Just type world's oldest religion on Google. That's my religion. :)
saintsong · 41-45, F
Ah respect I believe that it’s a respectable religion I was a little worried that you were dabbling in something spooky but you’re not I believe there are two types of religions in this world those religions of the creator and heaven and light and the occult Satan’s occult’s of darkness and death and eternal damnation I may not know everything about the good religions but I respect them but I won’t stand by as people are led to their slaughter when it comes to the evil occult’s because I’ve been there it isn’t pretty @littlepuppywantanewlife
@saintsong in our religion we are all vegetarian, we don't we animals infact we keep domestic animals like cow etc as family members and only take milk from them. Also we believe path to heaven comes from being a good human and helping others. Our deeds and the way we live impacts our soul. But there is also yoga and meditation to help us control our chakras and etc.
@leowander BEAUTIFUL!!!

@LadyGrace so if a person who is a murderer and still believes in Jesus Christ will go to heaven?
@littlepuppywantanewlife That is an excellent question. A person who loves Jesus, would never want to continue in old habits. When he accepts Jesus as his Savior, he also receives at that time, a transformation of heart and Spirit, given by the Holy Spirit, himself, that changes his spirit to want nothing but to love and serve God. That Holy Spirit is a free gift from God and dwells inside the person who received Jesus' gift of salvation, forever.

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead, will also give eternal life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. John 16:13
@LadyGrace Interesting. I don't know much about Christian since we don't have any Christian in my area. I come from a different religion where the teachings are different it's not compulsory to follow each and everything but the basic guidelines to live in the society which has been followed as a religion which has made a lot of difference. 'Karma' which means the deed decides the eternal life. Accordingly to me there are many things afterlife which people pray, meditate , worship or do something to gain afterlife. Few of them are being enlightened (following the path of superior and meeting him/her). Being free from lifecycle, being reincarnated as for some cause or finding the love.
@littlepuppywantanewlife Yes sir, I respect and understand that. I have studied Hinduism and have found the differences between Jesus and Krishna, as follows, respectfully. I'd be interested to hear what you think about them, as well. Please forgive the illustrations. I just thought they might help you understand why those who follow Jesus as Savior, do so. Thank you for viewing them. I am sorry it is so long, but I hope you will read this.

1) Jesus Christ was seen, in history. He dwelt among men and his life, as written in the Bible, was witnessed by others.

2) Christ was the promised Son of God, about whom prophecies were made years before he was born, and history is the witness about his coming for the redemption and fulfilment of the promise. The prophecy, was that there will be a man (Savior) born, who will redeem mankind from his/her sins and free them... no such prophecies are seen about Krishna, that he would die for the world and redeem them from sins.

3) Krishna is associated with ras-lila in his young days.. myths have it that he used to steal the clothes of the milkmaids and was also associated with MAKHAN CHOR. He was even called a natkhat balak (naughty child). No perfection. His childhood was playful. His youth shows his love life where Krishna is seen to have loved Radha with all his heart. To mention, Radha was supposedly his maternal aunty.

About the childhood of Christ, history shows that he stayed days and hours in the temple of Jerusalem, where He was foundteaching the teachers! And all the teachers were shocked that how a child like Him, was so wise. His youth was never associated with any girl, as such. All throughout the Bible, he has only one love interest, that is his lovely creation, humans. For the humans he came, and for them he died, then rose again. Over 500 people witnessed it. His disciples wrote about it. Christ lived his youth fully dedicated to his ministry of compassion for his creation, that is, us. He spent his time healing people and freeing them from bondages.. Spending time with the poor in wealth, and spirit. God approved Jesus to be man's Mediator and Savior, because there was no sin found in Jesus. Therefore, He was worthy to be our Savior and forgive us our sins. When a man offers a sacrifice of peace offerings to the Lord to fulfill a special vow or for a freewill offering, of the herd or of the flock, it must be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no defect in it. Numbers 28:19. The old sacrifices were accepted UNTIL Jesus volunteered to be our ultimate perfect, sinless sacrifice, once and for all.

4) Krishna was associated with killing the people who did evil. Danavs, as mentioned in Bhagwat Gita, and his maternal uncle, as well. Christ gave his life on the cross and killed no man, so that he could be the final sacrifice and fulfill the will of His heavenly Father. His death depicts his love for the world. Jesus's gift to the world is free, just for asking for it. Once our sins are forgiven, we are forever accepted as Children of God. That does not mean we won't ever sin again. We will, as long as we are in this body, however, the beautiful gift of grace (UN-earned favor from God) is forever applied and because God the Father honors His Son Jesus for His great sacrifice of His very life for mankind, God honors that sacrifice by seeing only Jesus, when He looks upon those whose Jesus's blood washed away all their sins. This is why we say this:

@LadyGrace I totally agree with the facts you have mentioned above. I respect and know what Jesus did to save every mankind from the sins. I also agree about how they lived and what the purposes were. I respect all religions for what they have taught to bring mankind together. You don't have to say sorry about anything. :)

However about hinduism. It's way to complicated. We can't compare Jesus and krishna. However krishna was reincarnated many times in different stories. Where as the three god's Lord shiva, Vishnu and Bhrama and creator of the world who fought against the dark powers. Lord Vishnu took 10 reincarnations one of them was lord Ram and other was Lord Shiva. They all have different stories. Lord Krishna witnessed the epic Mahabharata and guided Arjun(the warrior). He recited bhagat geeta or srimad Bhagavad. I can't elaborate alot of things here. But if you want to know more you can read the srimad Bhagavad on this website :

https://vedabase.io/en/library/sb/

My idea for people is follow whatever religion they belong to but still believe in doing the good work. :)
@littlepuppywantanewlife My eyes are giving me problems, but I do wish to touch base with you on a few points. I do not understand your reasoning on some things. I have some questions for you, regarding these, please.
However about hinduism. It's way to complicated. We can't compare Jesus and krishna.
I totally agree that Hinduism's ways are complicated.
I have studied and read all these things you mentioned. Comparison happens to be the way we make intelligent and informed decisions. God's Word says "A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways. And that not all paths lead to the same destination." Those are sound, wise teachings and advice. If I were going to the White House, I wouldn't go South to get there, from where I live. I'd miss it, by far. God also said, "There's a way that seems right to man, but the end thereof, leads to death." And if all paths and beliefs lead to heaven and God, then everyone would go to heaven, but we know they won't. And that's not because they weren't good enough. There's only one reason. Because they have not had their sins forgiven and their sins keep them condemned and still separated from God, until we ask forgiveness. Jesus does the work of saving, not us.

Why did Jesus say, "I am the way, the truth, and the life"?? if every path leads to heaven? With karma, one never reaches a point where he can actually feel sure and secure in saying he is going to heaven. With Jesus, he promises and guarantees that whosoever comes to him in prayer, asking for forgiveness of their sins, shall immediately and forever have eternal bliss in heaven. No having to earn it. And no guessing about it. That sounds like a much better plan to me. A real guarantee because Jesus cannot lie nor err, so he always keeps his promises. He said we'll live in eternity with him, which eternity means forever and ever.

I'm confused at your statements, because you said you agree with all I said, that we do not earn our way to heaven. But earlier on, you wrote:

We cannot have it both ways, as God said "Choose this day, whom you will serve. You cannot serve Me and other gods or man, as well." "Thou shalt have no other gods, before Me." God means as He says, as our Creator.

Religion is described as man-made philosophy. It did not die on the cross for our sins. Jesus did, as our own personal Savior and Redeemer. It is not a religion. It is a personal relationship.
@LadyGrace we can't compare them as they were both born in different era. Both of them had different purposes. Whereas lord Krishna came from an established religion. He didn't had to sacrifice himself to wash off the sins from people. He gave them guidelines to follow.

The reason to do good deeds have nothing to do or ask something. It's being selfless and offer in the eyes lord. The 'seva' or service people do. It is connected internally. One can't argue things which is beyond recognition. One has believe it and have faith. One who believe is a savior and can lead to a good path.

I may not have evidence on the basis of religion because I am not comparing anything here. My question was only that 'one who does sin and believes in Jesus, will his or her sins wash away? Or one has to suffer for his or her crime even if is religious?

@littlepuppywantanewlife We can't work ourselves to heaven. Jesus did it all on the cross. He chose us before the foundation of the world, drew us to himself and changed us. Then we are changed forever.
@Carazaa but only Christians get to save by that and rest who wants to be saved convert their religion?
