Heaven and Hell are mental states. We all experience them many times.

@Entwistle Yes, that is as close as it gets. And ideas of our personalities/egos being perpetuated eternally [i]would [/i] be hell, however dressed up. And ideas of any human being being tormented perpetually, and conscious of it, is one of the most contemptible products of the triumphant herdmind. Those who believe it, and think it "just" in any way have had their moral sense totally corrupted by dogma and creed.
