Is there a Heaven Is there a Hell that is a good question? How can we know, no one has came back from the dead to tell us.

My view is a person either trusts the Word of God or they don't.. If you trust God you will trust Him when He reveals there is a Heaven and a Hell..

@Adstar Both the person and God are not real. It's a relationship between two illusions. Your view? What is the nature of "your view"?

Well obviously i totally diagree with You.. God is indeed real and His Word Jesus is The LORD..
What is the nature of "your view"?
It's not nature.. Even though nature points to a Creator.. It is spiritual being inspired by the Holy Spirit..

You're sure about that, right? Here's what God says about it:

"The fool says in his heart, there is no God. There's no truth in him. They are corrupt, and their actions are evil, not one of them does good." Psalm 14:1

In the bible, when something or someone is referenced to being foolish, this means that this person is someone who disregards God and His Word. Are you smarter than God? Just look in the mirror and I don't know how you can deny that you are a miracle. You were made by God, not by an astronomical collision. You also have a soul that never dies. That's in God's Word, too. It is the wise person who will consider this and prepare for the afterlife. Because God promises that every one of us shall stand before him one day. Unbelief won't change that.

You are quoting from the Bible a saying composed by somebody. All we have are words. We are the words that we form when words are all important.

Are we more than words? Reflect on that.
@sree251 Not just words, and not just by anybody. I'm not going to debate this with you, but you really should believe God when he says something.
Adstar · 56-60, M
@sree251 Where not talking of the words of people.. We are talking about the WORD of God... In the end each person is responsible for their own response to The WORD of God..

@Adstar The Book of Psalm is from Jewish scripture. Are you a Christian?
Adstar · 56-60, M
Yes i am a Christian..
sree251 · 41-45, M
@Adstar The teaching of Jesus has nothing to do with the religion of Judaism. The Book of Psalm is a scripture of Judaism. I was pointing out to LadyGrace that she was quoting from someone who wrote the Book of Psalm. She is a Christian. If you are a Christian also, you can't use the Book of Psalm from Judaism.
Adstar · 56-60, M
@sree251 Jesus being God inspired David when He was writing the book of Psalm's Your ignorance in understanding Christianity is breathtaking.. Christianity at it's core is a Jewish sect that believes that Jesus is the promised Messiah.. That's why the Torah is included in the Bible and called the Old testament.. I hope you learn something today..
sree251 · 41-45, M
@Adstar You said: "Christianity at its core is a Jewish sect."

Believe what you want, my friend. I suggest you consult a Jewish rabbi to verify your version of Christian theology.
Adstar · 56-60, M
@sree251 How ignorant can you be.. todays Jewish rabbi's firmely reject Jesus is the Messiah.. Many of the Jews rejected their Messiah.. They missed the most important event of their long historical walk with the LORD, God of Abraham..

The last thing i would do is consult a Jewish rabbi about the Messiah Jesus..

@Adstar You said: "How ignorant can you be.. todays Jewish rabbi's firmely reject Jesus is the Messiah.. Many of the Jews rejected their Messiah.. "

Jews have always rejected Jesus as the Messiah (see Wikipedia quote below). This is why Jesus was sought out and crucified for apostasy. The early Christians were also apostate Jews who compiled the Christian Bible using Jewish scripture (Old Testament) to provide the context for Jesus. Paul was a Jew who provided the material for the New Testament to complete the story of Jesus for Christianity.

Jesus is rejected in Judaism as a failed Jewish messiah claimant and a false prophet by all mainstream Jewish denominations. Judaism also considers the worship of any person a form of idolatry, and rejects the claim that Jesus was divine. (Wikipedia)

I'm not sure if we're on the same page on that part. The Bible was not written by mere man. Maybe I'm not understanding you. Do you agree with the following?

The Bible is the only book in all the world that can claim to be inspired in the true meaning of the word. God is incapable of lying. He is sinless and no liar. The inspiration of the Bible means more than mere spiritual illumination and exultation, which comes to many people. The word "inspire" comes from a Latin word which means to breathe on, or breathe in. The Bible is inspired in the sense that God did not entrust His Holy Word to just anyone. The Bible says that the Word was inspired by the Holy Spirit, giving HOLY men, what to write, who were "inbreathed" by the Holy Spirit.

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable (to man) for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished (equipped) unto all good works." II Timothy 3:16-17. That's 2nd Timothy, chapter three, verses 16-17:

"For the prophecy came NOT in old time by the will of man; but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost". II Peter 1:21.

The Bible is the eternal, unchangeable, and infallible (incapable of making mistakes or being wrong) Word of God.

No, we are not on the same page. The Bible, and for that matter, all literature, is written by people. They may be inspired, and I am open to a discussion on the nature of that inspiration. But I do not agree with the rest of your post. This is why I do not practice your religion even though I accept the teaching of Jesus.

According to the Gospels, Jesus was a Jewish man born in Bethlehem and raised in the town of Nazareth, in Galilee (i.e Palestine). In today's context, Jesus would be regarded as a trouble-maker by the Israeli government because he would be a source of strength and comfort to the oppressed (Palestinians).
@sree251 but if you are going to follow Jesus then you have to believe in his word and what I wrote is in the Bible. From the contents of the Bible alone, the prophecies all being fulfilled and also it being more up-to-date than tomorrow's newspaper, tomorrow's newspaper, and telling the future and exactly how it's going to happen, that proves that the Holy Spirit wrote it by giving exactly what the Bible said, holy men of old not just anyone but holy men of old Direction on what to write from the Holy Spirit. Now that's what the Bible says. Are you saying the Bible is not correct? If you believe and follow Jesus then you have to believe what the Holy Spirit wrote in the scriptures. It is not an ordinary book. You cannot reinterpret the Bible to mean what you want it to mean. It is very clear on how we got the word of God and it was not written by mere man. And to call Jesus a troublemaker, assuming he was even a troublemaker? Are you serious? No way. You don't know that. You're speculating and I am sure that Jesus was no troublemaker. He went around preaching the gospel under the direction of the Holy Spirit and don't forget he was God In the Flesh so he would not be a troublemaker. That sounds blasphemous.
@sree251 you do not accept the teachings of Jesus or you would accept His Word. Do you believe that Jesus was the son of God? I thought I had read where you don't but I'm asking. And I do not follow a religion. Religion doesn't save us and religion has absolutely nothing to do with salvation. Jesus didn't die for just some type or group of religious people. He died for the sins of the world. Not just for some.
sree251 · 41-45, M
@LadyGrace You said: "And to call Jesus a troublemaker, assuming he was even a troublemaker?

Please read what I wrote carefully. Back in the days when Jesus was in Jerusalem, he was regarded as a trouble-maker and accused as such by those who wanted him crucified. The Romans were running the government. Imagine that situation in today's context. Can you do that?
sree251 · 41-45, M
@LadyGrace You said: "you do not accept the teachings of Jesus or you would accept His Word."

You are confusing he teachings of Jesus with the teachings of your priest or pastor. What denomination of Christianity do you belong to?
@sree251 oh I can see where this is going. No you're 100% wrong. I don't listen to man, I listen to God.
sree251 · 41-45, M
@LadyGrace So, which denomination do you belong to? Based on your posts, I gather that you are an American evangelist.
@sree251 I belong to God. That's all I need to belong to. American evangelist is not a denomination. I have asked you the same but you did not answer me.
@sree251 what you said to Adstar about a Christian not being able to use the book of Psalms is, I'm sorry, but it is laughable. We can use any book from the Bible. It is our road map for life. I don't think you understand Christians or what they believe but please don't make things up. It's best to ask
@sree251 yes, but not all people regarded him as a troublemaker. Only the unbelievers who were against him
@sree251 I am asking you again to answer me.

Do you believe that Jesus was the Son of God?
