My dad died violently when I was 3 and as I grew up the house my mom and I lived in had a lot of eerie things happen. The house was built in the late 1800's and had solid oak floors. We would often hear footsteps coming up the steps or walking along the upstairs hallway. The noises were so loud that our dog would jump to investigate and then act like it could see something that we couldn't see and it would react to it.

One of most pronounced events was when my girlfriend was there with me and we was in my bedroom with the intention of doing some naughty things and someone would knock on the bedroom door repeatedly. I would open the door and there was nothing there only to shut it again and then an immediate knock on the door again and I would immediately reopen the door. I was standing right at the door so there was no delay and nobody was home. This went on for a few iterations and then there was footsteps going down the hallway with a knocking on the wall as the footsteps progressed.

The relationship with that GF did not last but she reached out to be a full decade after that and the very first thing she said to me was she still thinks about the haunted house I grew up in and the crazy things that happened there.
@DomMan67 sorry for your loss and thank you for sharing.

I have never visually seen a ghost and I don't really know what I think about the existence there of but I do have a somewhat creepy story.

There's a church in County Durham England. Escomb Church. It is one of the oldest churches and dates from 675 and is Saxon. It is also unbelievably creepy. Literally. I have never felt so affected in a building. Despite it being a church, It doesn't feel good. When we visited I just had to get out. It feels like you are being "watched" my husband said the same. We were both in there for all of about five minutes.

In the Bible, when Jesus appeared to his disciples after the resurrection he said "I am not a ghost, because ghosts don't have bodies as I do" Jesus never said that ghosts don't exist, he said he wasn't one. We are also warned not to try to contact the dead.

I don't know what people are seeing or experiencing when they say they have seen or felt something that wasn't good like I did in that church but I definitely believe there is a spiritual part of this world that is closer to humans than we understand.

I'm going to stay trusting in Jesus. He is the truth and the love in this world that I do know.

When I was working nights in security in an old victorian university
I would sleep some time in the director’s office for a short time
Everywhere was locked!

I would hear footsteps coming towards the office and continuing on into a locked science room
When I followed inthe locked room the steps stopped
It happebed every time

A long time ago I was driving my motorbike to work on a twisted road going fast
A force started making me slow down
I was down to 10 mile an hour when I came apon a lot of horses on the road
Something saved me from a series injury that morning

Ghosts are simply disembodied beings .... which, technically, is every person who has ever died. We are embodied beings; they are not. That's the only real difference.

Ghost sightings aren't as dramatic as movies make them out to be. Sometimes it's residual energy. Sometimes it's a soul in transition. And sometimes, depending on a person's karmic attunement, they may naturally sense certain presences.

The ones people tend to see are usually feeble souls ... nothing to be too excited about.
Life continues, with or without a body. There are far more extraordinary aspects of cosmic existence that we can experience than a ghost sighting.
@PatientlyWaiting25 Sometimes people are unhappy and disappointed with themselves they decide to take it out on the world. Blocking and ignoring them gets under their skin 🤭😭

@Souls I'm happy to have healthy debate, he does get a bit personal at times though.
@PatientlyWaiting25 It's from a lack of control

My grandparents passed away a long time ago. They had a little house out in the country. One day I noticed that the front door was half open, and some animals were getting inside. Somebody must've been in there, so I bought a hasp and a lock for the front door. Just as I was putting the lock on the door, a bell that was hanging on the wall above the door started ringing. I had never heard that bell before, and it wasn't even windy out. I stopped what I was doing and I said "Ring the bell again if you don't want me to lock the house." Then the bell rang again. I took the lock off the door and I said "Fine, whatever" and then I left, lol.

I don't really believe in ghosts, but I've had several instances of being asleep where I feel awake, but then I'm ripped out of bed pushed into the floor. It feels very very real.
Stuff like that.
Worst usually happens when I'm dreaming that I'm awake in bed.

When I was young, I could swear I heard a disembodied voice speaking to me. I shared a room with my sis but only I was awake and I didn't recognize the voice
