Do you believe in ghosts? Does the concept of a ghost seem sad in its own right?

I've heard too many firsthand stories of ghosts to not believe in them. But I don't know how the whole thing makes sense.

no i dont. it seems very sad, like they are stuck to haunt a certain location? i dont like that. i dont want that.

Can you clearly define what a ghost is and how this is known? Anecdotes are not reliable.
