This brings up a very sad misconception held by the ex. HE was baptized as a Catholic originally...when he was a baby. However, his mother rejected the Catholic church, claiming that they "worship" idols. She joined the Baptist church and the ex was baptized as a young adult in the Baptist church.

The sad part is that he honestly believes that the dunking in water in which he participated has forever saved him. In no way, shape or form did he ever live a life following the teachings of Jesus Christ. He believes that the ONE dunking is all that it takes.

Nothing could be further from the truth.
@4meAndyou Yes, and so do I. I did not mean that I'm not worried about his soul, but you cannot put yourself in danger. The best we can do for him is pray for him and his soul and I will do that.

@LadyGrace Thank you. I should pray for him, too. I will try.

The bible says to enter heavne you have to be botn of water and spirit. It also says there is only one baptizism.
@RisingMorningStar7
keep believing your heretical beliefs.

There you go again. Goodbye.

@LadyGrace look I said we are saved by faith and works, I don't want to go through this mental gymnastics to get to the same point.
@RisingMorningStar7 yep. That's what you said. That's not what Jesus said.
Musicman · 61-69, M
That is completely true.
