I would define myself as agnostic. I dislike fanatical aspects of faith, the kind of aspects that are used to commit evil acts or to be evil people, but there are many aspects of faith that I admire and I've been welcomed in to faith based events to share in celebrations and I cannot disrespect that kind of kindness.

What I appreciate about my own position is that I'm my own judge and jury as far as my morality is concerned. This puts the onus on me alone to choose my path and to correct myself, not in fear of any higher power but because I believe in my chosen path. I also take comfort in my instinct that tells me that there is nothing beyond death. For as much as eternal nothing is a daunting thought, eternal consciousness is equally if not more daunting to me. If the lights go out and I'm not aware of anything further then all my troubles will end and there will be no concern to be had.
