That there's a place whose inhabitants will be on fire and extreme pain and it will never end for them. It'll go on like that forever and ever, no breaks or anything. Just extreme pain and suffering.
And every single human that reaches a certain level of maturity/intelligence to where they can be held accountable for their actions deserves to go there.
(I suppose some people believe that even mentally disabled people and little children, the people who can't ask for forgiveness, still go to hell. I don't think that's the popular idea though.)
But only through belief in Jesus, asking for forgiveness, and following what he says will get us mercy and have us be saved from this place.

Nope. And I can see from your responses to other people that you don't, either, but for those folks who might answer otherwise, here's why.

So let's say that after a lifetime of not believing in hell, heaven, or the supposed omnipotence of the Christian god, it turns out I'm wrong. And once I'm presented with the evidence that he's real and omnipotent, it's too late, so off to hell with me. Let's try to wrap our minds around what that would look like. (I say try, because the human mind really can't. But I'm going to give it a shot.)

After a hundred years of constant torture with fire and brimstone, I will have served 0% of my sentence. None of it. Because it's eternal. Because it never ends.

After a thousand years, after 10 lifetimes, I will still have served 0% of my sentence.

After two thousand years, or 20 lifetimes, I will have served 0% of my sentence.

After ten thousand years, or 100 lifetimes, I will still have served 0% of my sentence.

After one hundred thousand years, or 1,000 lifetimes, I will still have served 0% of my sentence.

Because the believers in hell tell me that it is eternal. Never ending. It just goes on throughout eternity, with no Indian site. Which means, I suppose, that I would eventually be in hell so long that I would forget what it was like to ever not be in pain. To ever not be burned alive. To ever not be screaming in constant agony.

And the overwhelming odds are that I would be insane within less than a week of that treatment. That I would be completely out of my mind from the pain within 7 days. And for what heinous crime am I being punished? Not believing? Not thinking that Christianity was the right religion? Questioning the nature of any of the gods, let alone Yahweh, Devourer of Fоreskins? Making jokes about him?

Meanwhile, I'm expected to believe that it's possible to go to heaven if you only declare your belief in God and Jesus. Even Hitler did that much. Even Hitler, who was responsible for millions of deaths because he didn't like people who were different, publicly acknowledged the Christian god, and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.

So when you tell me that I'll go to hell for eternity for posting my funny little blasphemous memes, you're saying that I'll be punished for eternity while Hitler is being rewarded.
