Isreal withdrew from Gaza in 2005, under Sharon. ==> Palestinians started sending deadly rockets to Israel a couple of months later.
Israel closed its borders to Gaza ==> Palestinians started calling Gaza a "prison".
Palestinians tortured and murdered thousands of Jews during their "intifadas" ==> Palestinians accuse Israel of "genocide".

Why oh why do I want to see Gaza completely destroyed?

@helenS The goal of Hamas is the destruction of Israel. Nothing more, nothing less. The protesters share this goal as they are decidedly anti-Zionist.

Israel is now told not to resist its own destruction. It’s absurd.

But then again, the same people call 40,000 out of 1,700,000 “genocide.” Nope.

@Fukfacewillie we know Iran is behind Hamas, and Russia is behind Iran. Could Russia have planned the entire Gazan war to detract attention from what they are doing in Ukraine. They have laid Ukraine into rubble, killed tens of thousands of innocent civilians, with many women and children.

@samueltyler2 I think Iran and Russia are allies of convenience because of their pariah status, but Russia is pretty tied up in Ukraine.
