There is a difference between Jesus and a Creator

Sometimes I think religions, particularly Christianity, can confuse the issue as to whether there is an ultimate Creator or not because it brings in a whole different element. I think it forces people to have to believe in what the religion states instead of just considering if there is some Creator. Maybe some kind of living being that exists and is living like us and is able to create all this somehow. Those are just my own feelings

This is sadly inaccurate, because there is absolutely nothing in Christianity, as our faith system, that is confused about whether there is an ultimate Creator or not, or anything else in our faith. WE don't have a problem with any of those things you tried to apply to us. We have no problem with our beliefs; no confusion about them. We know in whom we have trusted. That doesn't mean we know it all, either. We grow as Christians on a daily basis and learn from His Word. Especially those new to the faith, but we never stop learning and growing in Christ.

When you attempt to project onto Christians that our belief system, [and btw, not "religion"], forces us to have "to believe in what the "religion" states, instead of just considering if there is some Creator" you could not be more wrong.

Firstly, if you're going to refer to Christians and our beliefs, please get your statements right, and straight. We don't believe in religion. Religion is nothing but man-made philosophies. The religions of this world have absolutely nothing to do with salvation. NONE of the manmade religions in this world, do. Jesus didn't die to save "religions". He came to save the world. NOT certain denominations.

We don't believe in, nor listen to "religion" or religious philosophies. We place our full trust in God and what HE says, alone. We don't have ANY misconceptions about that, nor confusion. We know exactly what we believe, and why. We know exactly who the Creator of this universe is, as we believe God, when He said He created the universe. Now, our beliefs may not be the same as what you believe, but don't knock us for our solid trust, faith, and full confidence in Jesus Christ, His Father, and the Holy Spirit, as the Godhead and Creator of this universe. Know your facts about us. We unequivocally trust in God, His Word, and therefore, His claim to be Creator of this universe. We believe God is no liar and incapable of lying or error. We don't believe in selectively picking one verse out of the bible, or chapters, and believing only in them, and not the rest of the Bible. In our faith, we either take God and His whole Word as He gave it, as trustworthy... or not at all. There's no in between. We either believe God and His promises in His Word, or not at all. The book of Proverbs, says a double-minded man, is unstable in all his ways.

Secondly, there's not one thing forceful about our faith and trust in the person of Jesus Christ, our Savior. We have a personal relationship with Jesus, God the Father, and the Holy Spirit, known as GOD or the Godhead, because He is whom we CHOSE to believe in. Never out of force, but out of our great love and respect for Him and His Son, Jesus, our Savior, who laid down His very life to pay for our sins, so "whosoever believes on Him", could be saved and escape the condemnation sin placed on us all. He forgives us, and gives us eternal life in heaven with Him. John 3:16 and 17. Refuse to believe every part of what God has claimed and stated as Truth revealed to us, and you have rejected God.

God's Word says that we are saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus and NOT by our own efforts or works, lest we boast we saved ourselves (Ephesians 2:8-9). Jesus said we are saved by Grace Alone through Faith Alone. Grace alone means that God loves, forgives, and saves us not because of who we are or what we do, but because of the work of Christ on the cross, who paid for our sins, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life. He could not have made it any clearer. We are without excuse that "we didn't know". He didn't leave us to guess how to have salvation. He said every person on this Earth will hear about Jesus and how to be saved, before Jesus comes back again. No excuse. That devil would have us in disbelief. Don't worry about how Jesus will do it. Nothing is impossible for Him and He doesn't need our help. He's perfectly capable of taking care of the details.

@LadyGrace but Jesus is part of the religion
@Axeroberts
but Jesus is part of the religion

No. He's not. He even scolded so-called "religious people" for hypocracy. They were phonies....some pretending to be righteous, back then. But Jesus knew their hearts. Since when does religion save us? Religion did nothing for us but Christ did everything for us that we needed in order to have salvation. There's no comparison to Christ versus a dead philosophy created by men, not God. There's a huge difference. You can have no relationship with idols or dead, manmade philosophies that are opposite and in opposition to God's Word. That's what Jesus said.

@LadyGrace anyway my point is that a person can believe in a Creator without being of any religion.
@Axeroberts Like I said, I'm not a religion or affiliated with a religion. I told you that is man-made philosophy. I have a personal relationship with Christ, completely different.
@Axeroberts Thing is, some don't want to give God the credit for creating the universe, when He said He did.

@LadyGrace well maybe you see the religious aspect bringing you closer to Christ
@Axeroberts you must not read my replies. I told you I have nothing to do with religion. It is nothing but man-made philosophy
@Axeroberts Why won't you give God the credit for being Creator of the universe? Why is that so hard for you? Just curious. Also, which god do you believe in? I'm only asking because you're not real specific.

@LadyGrace God did create the universe. When have I ever said otherwise
@Axeroberts I've seen plenty of other times when you have claimed that you know that some "intelligence" created the universe. You're not making a commitment one way or the other by asking that question. You always seem to dodge it and to never give God the credit for being creator of the whole universe. You always refer to something being a higher intelligence or a higher being but I've never seen you actually give God credit for creating the universe and in fact I've seen you dispute that with others.

@LadyGrace well I think you are misunderstanding me or taking something I have written out of context. The intelligence I might have referred to is the intelligence behind the universe. The intelligence we can make of it. For me God, The Creator is a living being. The One who created it. And created in a way to be self sustaining and spawn life. He created the laws of nature which science is slowly revealing. I hope this is more clear

Look at what you have said here:

"The intelligence I might have referred to is the intelligence behind the universe. The intelligence we can make of it. For me God, The Creator is a living being. The One who created it."

That is wishy-washy philosophy. No set solid Doctrine, but dodging around it. You separate the two. It's actually NOT what WE make of it. It's what God said it is. Sometimes you refer to the two in separate ways and they are not separate. God is either the Creator of the universe or not at all. Because when you generalize "Creator" as " the intelligence we make of it", that could mean anything to ANY BODY. God did not leave us to guess on this. He told us exactly that HE is CREATOR of the universe; not just any intelligence that people can make of it, to suit their own agenda. Sometimes it seems to me that you agree with whoever you're talking with at the time and then change it when you talk to others. This is wishy-washy theory. No Solid Ground. No solid faith. What are you doing is actually setting the rules FOR God, about HIS Doctrine. You can't change God's Doctrine and who He said He is. You either believe or you don't. You went on to say:

He created the laws of nature which science is slowly revealing.

Really? Which SCIENCE is slowly revealing??? God doesn't need science to reveal anything. He already revealed it in His Word. Since when, does science have, or take authority, over God's Word???

@LadyGrace gravity and electromagnetics for example. How atoms bond. This is what science reveals. It's not created by magic. And when the bible was written humans had no knowledge of these things. And there are endless discoveries yet to be made. We will never know it all
@Axeroberts This is true, but then there are many things that humans had knowledge of that we wouldn't even dream of them knowing because the Holy Spirit revealed to them, for example, that the Earth was round. Even before telescopes were invented. The Bible speaks of it.
Axeroberts · 56-60, M
@LadyGrace true. And we came from the dust of the earth. And women have one less rib. There are many examples
@Axeroberts No....Adam did.

After creating Adam, God guided the man to the discovery that he was, in a sense, alone in the world; unlike the animals, the man had no counterpart, no equal companion: “For Adam no suitable helper was found” (Genesis 2:20). Once Adam was aware of his need, God took steps to remedy the problem. He created the woman.

How God created the woman is significant. InGenesis 2:21–22, after causing Adam to fall into a deep sleep, God took a rib out of the man and used it to form the woman. SoAdam and Evewere of the same substance and were connected physically. All people are from Adam, including Eve. When God brought the woman to the man, Adam said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man” (Genesis 2:23).

Notice: Learning of God’s removal of a rib from Adam, some people assume that men today have one fewer rib than women have. It’s a wrong assumption. Ribs are easily counted, and men and women have the same number of them. God made asurgicalchange to Adam, not ageneticchange. Performing surgery does not alter one’s genetic makeup. Every descendant of Adam has the DNA encoding that produces 12 pairs of ribs—24 ribs total in the rib cage. Adam’s sons all had the same number of ribs that Adam had originally; in the same way, the son of a kidney donor will have two kidneys, not just one, and the daughter of an amputee will not be born missing a limb.

@LadyGrace well I don't take the bible literally. I know many do. But I don't.
