Quite the opposite. Religion asks you to believe in an unchanging dogma based totally on faith. Science asks you to continually question everything, even things that were considered "scientific principles or laws" at one time. Atheism is basically an open mind willing to consider both.

@dancingtongue Nice try but science demands you accept their every statement even when they change their mind. You dare not question the science. The point is that science is a religion and operates from an unprovable premise just as does any religion. I believe in God based on my experience. I could not prove it to you. I used to believe in science based on the same thing until my experience showed me that the science was wrong/in error.
