No amount of religion or spirituality will give you the kind of peace and satisfaction that revenge does

If somebody wrongs you, religion will tell you it’s cause of your karma or because it’s God’s will and you must not hurt another person. Survival and evolution tells you to go and destroy them. And when you do that, you’ve earned your place on this planet. Spirituality will let you rule in heaven (like there even is such a place), but being feared and respected will let you rule on Earth.

@DocSavage Nah, but I’ve seen the movie. Did I accidentally say a quote from the movie or sum’n?

The Count tells a story in which he met the Devil. When asked what the price for his soul would be. The Count said, he would like to see true justice. There is no such thing in Heaven or Hell.

@DocSavage Interesting. I wanted to read the book after I watched the movie a few years ago, but I never got around to it.

This post is from personal experience. I dated a woman whose mind games made me miserable. I went through hell for 6 months. She was unstable, manipulative and even more egotistical than I am. She refused to account for or care about how she made others feel. And I was in denial for the longest time that someone I liked and truly cared for could do this.

She said things that made me feel worthless, simply because I told her that we were done. Initially, I refused to say anything bad to her, but I had to show her her place. And I tried spirituality, truly letting go, etc, but nothing worked.

I sent her a long message which completely tore her apart. I said things which I wouldn’t to my worst enemy. But she had it coming. And knowing that she had to retreat from that and finally blocked me, gives me a tremendous sense of peace and satisfaction that nothing else I tried could provide.

It was my Hiroshima to her Pearl Harbour
