Biblical or coincidence?

Anyone hearing about the Euphrates river drying up and the noises from a certain group of caves?
ArishMell · 70-79, M
Drought in the Euphrates' catchment area?

Caves can sometimes emit strange noises, by air or water flow changes inside them, so I'd not think anything odd about that.

Wookey Hole, in SW England, used to be famous for it over the centuries; but changes due to first building a dam across its river outlet for a paper-mill, in the 19C, then massive tunnelling works in the last 30 or 4o years to extend the show-cave by linking chambers formerly accessible only by diving, might have stopped that for good.

The "certain... caves" are?

Any mention of what might be similar events in the Bible are historical co-incidence, simply by being natural. Nothing mystical about it even if the Ancient Hebrew writers thought it so.

Ancient, at least

@TallMtnMedic Might be just local gossip as a side story to the dry river, which would be the serious matter if it does not normally run dry.
@ArishMell Found it by accudent on utbue, then went digging. Found it.

Listen to more than one or two videos. Its very erie to say the least.

Considering how Revolation and the current state of the world match, its a bit conserning.

No, im not going to get into a debate over tbe bible either, just they are matching.

@TallMtnMedic Fair enough!

I know that Turkey built a number of dams at the origin of the rivers and so a lot less water is making it to the persian gulf.. They could shut up all the dams and they would cause both rivers to cease flowing today..

But what is this Noises in Caves ??? I know nothing about that one..
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@Adstar Actions like those of Turkey may become very inhumane, and dangerous politically, where they deny people in nations downstream the water on which they rely.

The cave noises story is most likely local gossip about what would most likely turn out to be natural, randomly-variable water, air or even animal sounds. Since we don't know anything about the "certain caves", we can't suggest any more than that.

Revelation 16:12 if anyone wants to read.
It's complicated stuff for sure but I do believe we are in end times and we need to make ourselves right with Jesus.
but its not completely dried up yet.
so this isn't the sign.
@nonsensiclesnail Not yet, but its been dropping since 2020. It starts somewhere though.
@TallMtnMedic In truth, it is something I pay attention to. I do think life on this little ball of rock is winding down. in fact, I have no doubts. But I also understand that most people don't feel this way, or in this same way as I do.
@nonsensiclesnail Agreed. Either they dintbwantvto think of it so they denybit, i can understand that actually, or they think its perpetual.

So when is the next pestilence?
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@PatKirby Or major natural disaster?

Probably not far off - they are horribly frequent, over historical scales. (The Bible covers only one relatively small society in one region over only a few centuries, and is not really a historical treatise anyway.)

We've have one major pandemic and several serious epidemics of various diseases among humans and other animals, and plants like trees, already in this fifth or a century so far. Floods and droughts, too.
