My ancestors were Romany gypsy

So I've started reading about my heritage. Because I'm very curious about spirituality I'm reading gypsy magic by Patrinella Cooper. Its really interesting so far. I love to learn about different traditions and beliefs.

A long and often sad history going back to their oppression in Europe over the centuries and bigoted views of "travellers" to this day. And though it isn't that often mentioned, on a percentage basis, the Nazis came closer to exterminating more of the Gypsy population of Europe than the Jewish population. My wife taught with a Gypsy who lost most of his family to the Nazi camps.
