life from outer space?

If we proved that life actually came from outer space would that be proof that God does not exist?

No...

It's just an attempt to push back God further into the past so you can avoid thinking / dealing with Him... Saying that life came from space still done not establish how it came into existence in outer Space.. No matter how many eons or light years you push God away you still have to deal with the fact Life came into existence in the universe...

@Adstar still haven't established where God came from either

@JestAJester God is eternal.. He has always existed.. That's basic Christianity 101..

I personally think it is a stupid point inquiring about the origin of God..

But people keep on doing it..

@Adstar not much of an explanation if you ask me. Sounds like a scapegoat. and no not stupid, if God designed us as you believe than it is his fault of why we're so inquisitive. In fact its because of that curiosity and the drive to learn more that brought us to this point. Its what gave us modern technology, medicine, understanding of the natural world, etc. So to inquire about God's existence and his beginning is not really any different.

@JestAJester That's the explanation God has provided us... Each individual can declare their own response to His revelations.. And yes it is stupid to ask the same question over and over and over again expecting a different answer.. You're not going to get another answer from a Bible believing Christian.. Being inquisitive is a good thing.. Asking questions is a good thing.. But rejecting the answer just makes all the effort in asking question to no benefit for the one asking the question..

@Adstar Rejecting an answer that doesn't make sense. If that is truly the answer, then expound upon it. Explain how that is possible. If I were to ask the question what makes me human? And you simply respond with DNA. Well that's not really much of an answer. Then I will proceed with "What is DNA?" "How is DNA responsible" etc. So in response to the answer God is eternal, he has always existed. How is that possible? What are the inner workings that make that plausible?

@JestAJester Does not make sense ... To You... Just because your brain cannot fathom the answer does not make the answer wrong..

Gods eternal existence is a MUST.. For anything other then God to exist.. God must by necessary always have existed.. The Creator cannot be created, otherwise the Creator of that Creator is the Creator.. Therefore the Real Creator must be eternal.. having always existed.. Something cannot come into existence without a cause.. And if there was nothing in eternity then nothing would have come into existence..

@Adstar but how do you know? How do you know we can't fathom the explanation? Did God explain it to some poor sod one day and cause his brain to explode? You would think, the all powerful God, the designer of us and our brains, surely he designed our brains to be capable of such a thing?
Something cannot come into existence without a cause.
So what is the cause of God? I honestly want to know. I honestly want an explanation. And I acknowledge that nobody knows probably, but there must be an answer.

I'd just rather have all the facts before I commit my undying, unwavering loyalty to some random deity.

@JestAJester
So what is the cause of God?
See how the answer went over your head..

Here is the news.. You do not first demand to understand / know everything before you will believe anything in relation to God.. It does not work that way.. God inspires and enlightens those who are accepting of His truth.. The path to God is like a set of stairs.. Every step is a teaching a truth that a person must accept to take the next step.. God foreknows who is going to take those first couple of steps in Faith. Now when one has advanced half way up the staircase then the LORD reaches out to them and carries them up to the top of the staircase.. Those people who will never take the first steps never get to see the LORDs hand. They never get lifted up..

@Adstar Answer didn't go over my head. Because its not really an answer. You might as well say "Because reasons..." There is no explanation behind it. That tells me you don't know either. You don't know why or how its possible that God is eternal. You just accept it and don't ask questions because you got it in your head that humans aren't worthy or capable of knowing the truth. Doesn't sound like a guy Id wanna worship if thats what he requires. Blind, unwavering loyalty. If hell is what I get for simply wanting to understand, then so be it.

You know the Romans and Ancient Greeks thought they knew too. They were pretty convince their Gods were real too. So did the Egyptians, Muslims, Shinto believers, Hindus, etc. Why shouldn't I believe any of them?
