Reflections in ponds?
Artificial mirrors date back to the Bronze Age, when they soon found this new-fangled copper-tin alloy could be used for making all sorts of functional and decorative articles including clothes hasps, brooches, combs, needles, jewellery - and mirrors as it takes a high polish.
The various Bronze alloys are still very important, but mainly now for engineering components.
