Have you ever met someone you know has had work done, yet they refuse to tell you where they got it done?

So frustrating. Why do women do this? Some women are super open about it as I would be. "I love my doctor! I love the work s/he has done!' Other women will take it to their grave! "I've never had any work done."

Are you sure?

I don't want to be rude, but... .. .

It's obvious to anyone with intelligence.

"Nope. Never."

I think it looks great! Who did your fillers???"

Urgh. Why do women do this to each other???

For the RECORD, if I find a doctor who does gorgeous work, I'm telling anyone who asks. Yes! These are FILLERS and BOTOX as you already know. This is my doctor's name..."

People do not often like to be asked about their medical history. Some things are definitely more private than others.

Even though the world feels the need to pry about a certain condition right now but asking random people is still inappropriate.

I imagine the reason one would want to keep their plastic surgery private is because once it is discovered that they had purely elective work done, suddenly their beauty seems less authentic.

No such thing as a "little" cheating.

@CestManan Yeah. I get that. I just don't think I'm random. You know? I've been committed to her for at least 10+ years. She's the only one I'll let touch me... like that. Lol. Sorry. Couldn't resist. I only trust her work and cannot separate easily! So, I don't know... I just hoped she'd tell me.

It's ok. I'll look at other women closer, and rely on my open women. It's the only way.

I understand she needs to protect her livelihood. It's ok.
Personal preference.

@DarlingSelah yeah... well... you're right about that. 😒

I have never wanted to pry . For them , that work was important to them , and it’s none of my business. Sure I can tell , but just like pink or purple hair it makes them feel good about themselves. As their friend that would be the last thing I would want to destroy, their self image .

My sister had a boob job and told our cousin and swore her to secrecy although she told me cuz I’m the favourite cousin. My sister will not admit to it at all no matter what
perceptivei · 36-40, F
@Jenny1234 Dang. And boobs are easy to spot compared to a butt job! Butt jobs are the least easy to spot, then I'd say stomach jobs... it can be very difficult to tell which is good for the patient. I'm concerned about fillers and botox though... and cool sculpting (once again for my face).

[c=BF0080]It’s sad.. 😔[/c]
perceptivei · 36-40, F
@aaaabbbb of course not. 😒
I've never asked to be honest.
perceptivei · 36-40, F
@Spoiledbrat I know my esthetician has... I can easily tell she's plump in one area and wrinkly in the rest. Anyone who is obsessed with skincare can tell easily. She always says "No, never."

Maybe she's protecting her business... but, come on! I just want to know what doctor!

Many dermatologists don't have such skill. And, I'm picky. But, she won't tell me. 😔

It's natural to the average eye, but to an obsessed person? Easy to spot. You know?
I'm not sure. I know someone who has had lazer treatment for acne scars and someone who had her nose done but I wouldn't have known if they hadn't told me. @perceptivei
perceptivei · 36-40, F
@Spoiledbrat yes! Very true!!!! My point exxxxxactly!

The only reason I can spot it is due to my obsession with skin care, procedures and watching surgical cosmetic tv.

This is the entire reason I want to know who did her fillers. Hers look better than anyone's I've seen. I want her doc's name is all. I wouldn't ruin her business. I wouldn't tell anyone. I just want it myself. 😪

Well alright then.. it's settled.
MonaReeves86 · 36-40, F
well maybe they haven't not every woman, needs to have had work done to look good
perceptivei · 36-40, F
@MonaReeves86 This is true! But, not the case for the women I'm referencing. Lol. I mean, they're in their 60's, wrinkly as heck, and one part is plump? Come on. You're insulting my intelligence.

I've researched skincare for years as I smoke. She did for years, too. Take the smoking out of it, she fixed the one thing that bothered her the most which I respect. But, she won't tell me what doctor did it.

Doctors matter... choosing the right one.

*** I definitely think you misunderstood my post.
MonaReeves86 · 36-40, F
no she wants to keep it to herself, she should be aloud that@perceptivei
perceptivei · 36-40, F
@MonaReeves86 She's definitely allowed. I simply speak my opinions "aloud", so I said something here on SW to get other ladies' opinions. However, I highly respect this woman and have never been rude to her as she knows.

You don't understand why it's frustrating. So be it.

I guess, I'm just different as I would be very honest and supportive of my doctors.
MonaReeves86 · 36-40, F
can we see what you look like?
@MonaReeves86 if she wants to keep her appearance private , don't ask her to .

Just as you like to keep somethings private 🤷‍♀️
nedkelly · 61-69, M
@perceptivei Your homepage has your photo, and you are attractive
perceptivei · 36-40, F
@nedkelly great. Thanks.

Still need fillers, eventually.

I know I'm attractive. I just wanted to know who did her plumping. This is all. Jeeze.

"Who turned that frowning upside down" type thing. I'm smiling in my photos.
I think women are very competitive when it comes to looks.

And I think for some, who have had work done, theu still carry a bit of the old insecurity still.

So they don't want to admit to any fakery of plastic surgery.
Honestly, I don’t ask such things. It’s private. I wouldn’t think badly of someone not wanting to share such personal information.
