Some of my sister’s female friends who have also had kids were putting themselves down with me

Many of whom she went to high school with and have remained friend since. But they’ve have kids since then and have put on weight. Today, a lot of them met my baby for the first time and were complimenting me on my figure. I’m sporting a bikini today and am still as skinny as I was before I had my baby. I posted that as a bit of a beat before, but I now their remarks are making me feel bad. Their compliments were nice and all, but I hated it when they expressed shock at my not gaining weight, then proceeded to point to themselves like “look at me”

I have always been skinny and I have always hated others feeling self-conscious about their weight around me just because I am skinny. I don’t judge anyone based on their weight, and maybe they’re not assuming that I do. All the same, I just hate it when people compare their bodies to mine, as if mine is a lot better, or just to put themselves down. I don’t want anyone to feel self-conscious around me. It makes me feel bad, like I’m some superior image to them or some BS, when that’s even what I’m trying to be. Ever.

I’ve tried talking some of them down from it. Don’t know how successful I was. I only hope they know that it’s not me who’s judging them. But what they should be worried less about is society judging them.

@MyMonstersAreReal I would trade my skinny ass for their curves any day. Maybe then, they’d see being a twig isn’t as cut out as it’s made to be.
@Ducky us women always want what the others have.
Skinnier waist
Wider hips
Longer hair
Shorter hair
Curly hair
Long hair

Maybe one day we will learn to accept ourselves for who we are.

Some women just don't show when they get pregnant.

@Lostpoet I was definitely showing. Just not now that I’ve had my baby, apparently.
