I Struggle With My Body Image

I think this is common for many people in our society...growing up I’ve always struggled with envy. I envied others body types. I know it’s my fault for the way I look but I guess I’ll be transparent and admit I’m lazy to start the change. My weight will fluctuate but I don’t motivate myself to go all the way and make it to my goal. I backslide and gain the weight back...like Nike says “Just Do It”.

I used to be my own worst critic. I was also pretty critical of others. It was when I learned to accept that everyone had physical imperfections and everyone had something beautiful about themselves that I started feeling comfortable with my own body. It’s a good place to be and I hope you find it too.

Is it possible that you are not really unhappy as you are, and when you loose weight it's because you feel like you are expected to, and not because you really want to? Just my thoughts.

Ahh interesting point! Honestly yes but another reason is health...I don’t want to struggle in the long run with health complications. @Wghtlvr
You might want to partner with a doctor or nutritionist for encouragement in reaching your goals, or look into FA (food addicts anonymous). Those people can be relentless, but in a good way, and they will give you support in sticking with a plan to become fit and trim. Mainly it’s desirable for health reasons.

Thank you...I was looking into a fitness coach...I had a personal trainer in high school when I played sports. I want to start with my eating habits. I’ll try to look into the FA. @bijouxbroussard
