If your hair is dyed red, can you still be called a redhead?

No because you're not a true redhead - instead you're a deadred.

To maintain the illusion, a fake redhead need to also dye the hair between her legs unless she fastidiously keeps herself shaved like a baby's bottom there, under her arms, and on her legs. Otherwise there will be signs of 'tampering'. 8-)
@zonavar68 I honestly don’t know anyone who does that, because it’s nobody’s business.

@bijouxbroussard Agreed but just addressing the elephant in the room. My first ex was a bottle redhead but not red anywhere else.
@zonavar68 Moreover, the "drapes and carpet" don’t necessarily "match" even when dye isn’t involved.

Yes, a natural redhead can have dark pubic hair due to variations in melanin production and genetic factors. The expression of hair color can differ between scalp hair and pubic hair, influenced by the MC1R gene and other factors.

@bijouxbroussard Ok I didn't know that. I have never dated or spent any 'quality time' with a real redhead woman. There used to be one at my work but she's 20 yrs younger than me and identifies as a lesbian, so that was a no-go zone.
