I Love Natural Redheads

Disclaimer: This is not my writing. It's quite possible you have seen this before, yet it remains to me the best way to describe being a redhead. I have corrected some grammar and added #'s for easy communication.

It's not easy being red!

It's a tough world out there for us redheads. For starters...

1. Red hair is a genetic mutation.
( There are redheads among us!)
So yes, we redheads are quite literally freaks of nature.

2. So much so that...
The Romans kept redheaded slaves at a higher price for rarity.

3. Some even say we are going extinct.

4. The Egyptians thought the color red was so unlucky that they burned their red heads alive.

Yet, we've managed to persevere!

5. Today the highest percentage of redheads are in Scottland at 13%, Ireland at 10% and the U.S at 2%

Just about everything about a redhead is a genetic trainwreck!

6. Redheads are practically allergic to the sun

7. Red hair and blue eyes is the most rare combination.
( And there are rumors that we have no soul, yet every freckle is a stolen soul)

Still..of the women who color their hair, 30% go RED.

Ohhhh. Yeah!

All that finger-pointing and burning at the stake has made us evolutionarily stronger!

8. Statistically, redheads need 20% more anesthesia to be sedated.

So....really, we're building a tolerance against the world evolutionarily speaking, and all the stereotypes that we are unpredictable, seductive and soulless are just proof of why we are so undeniably irresistible! giggles(;

My mother’s side of the family was Scotch/Irish so we have more than our share of the heads.

@SageWanderer so that one about redhead and blue eyes, is most rare....I have this other thing...called left-handed! Does that mean I am an anomaly? giggles(;
SageWanderer · 70-79, M

SageWanderer · 70-79, M
@Ladyred Maybe. Or redheads are few and in demand so only dated a few.
Ladyred · 46-50, F
@SageWanderer I see, fair point but can you deny seeing your brothers in law handling their redheads, you might feel like you dodged a bullet?
SageWanderer · 70-79, M
@Ladyred All my sisters are strong willed women. Our mother raised them that way redhead or brunette doesn’t matter. And I didn’t dodge a bullet the first time around with another brunette.
Ladyred · 46-50, F
@SageWanderer I actually believe personality is based on the woman not her hair color..(;
SageWanderer · 70-79, M
@Ladyred Me too. But the redhead persona carries on still.
Ladyred · 46-50, F
@SageWanderer It can't be denied, no matter what we do.giggles(;
