why is it I cant seem to have friends just cause I'm short

I'm 4ft5 and this has been going on all my life, I've never dated, never got married or had kids cause of it. all my family is short, only my younger brother was tall, especially now that I'm older, even if I go to church no one ever says to me lets go out to lunch after, I got tired of that and moved back to where I used to live and its the same story, no one wants to do anything with me, the friends I knew from yrs ago are too busy for me, even someone in my hallway that I go to church with never knocks on my door to visit or asks me to come over. do people feel uncomfortable with short people, they treat me like they don't want to hang out with a child, any ways to change this so I can have a normal life without being by myself all the time, thought of volunteering somewheres but even when I've done that they say they don't need me after one or two days, and yes I do shower so what am I doing wrong that no one wants to hang out with me cause of my size? any ideas?
