Here's a quick tip for dealing with shy or nice people

Just because someone is nice, or shy, etc... doesn't mean you have a right to talk down to them. To patronize. To make them feel they are a 'bit' smaller, BECAUSE they are nice. Or BECAUSE they are shy.
Seems many think they will just 'take it', since they are nice. Well, here's another cool tip: Kindness is not weakness. I have had so many people talk down to me , patronize, or act on a high horse, because they thought they merely just COULD. Man, it's a bad look. No one is better or higher or whatever else, just because the other person is nice or shy. It really doesn't work that way. 😐

@Coralmist In the case of here, I find myself wondering “why bother saying anything at all?” But of course it’s likely that they’re sad, miserable, angry people looking for someone to take it out on. And unfortunately the anonymity of the internet gives them the perfect opportunity.

I'll second, the Amen. I admire, adore and have nothing but respect and kindness for those who are able to keep themselves open, loving, compassionate and kindhearted. Those who look down have the world upside down, in my eyes, and thus such cruelty lives and thrives in this world. It's the people who keep themselves loving who keep this world together.
