I feel life has passed me by.

I sit here, still living with my mum, in my 40s and I feel I have missed out on so much. I never finished school, never went to collage.l have only had a few jobs and currently I’m unemployed.
Its been years since I dated, I’m single and lonely.
I see the reason being my weight, I was a fat child and now I’m a very fat adult.
It seems so unfair that I have had to struggle all my life where others seem to breeze through.
I know I should diet and exercise, I have tried but the weight has always come back on.
I would just like to be given a chance at some of the things I have missed.

We have all missed out on what is in our past, pretending life is binary, full of A or B decisions. But we didn't miss out on just B when we chose A; we also didn't choose C though Z, and another infinite alphabet of letters. @NeuroticByNature has it right, I think. Make a decision tomorrow and see if you like it. There are more than 2 choices, and a lot of us will be cheering for you.

Give your mom a hug for me.

@Fatalice I don’t know you, so I can't act as if I know what is best for you. But clearly you are loved here, and if you need to talk there are many here, including me, who care about you.
