you can not be obese and healthy at the same time

sorry to break it to you all but facts are facts.
Glorifying obesity, this is the world we live in today with certain people.
Why do people struggle to acknowledge reality now and instead act as if their feelings is all that matter and those trump every thing else. It doesnt and if people actually cared for obese people, they would not glorify it and encourage it.

but hey, if you wanna end up in a early grave, keep shoveling in junk food day in and day out and not exercise at all. Its your life

I get where you are coming from but I think you are seeing things too black and white. It's a small distinction but 'you are not worthless/unattractive/unlovable etc 'because' you are fat' is not the same as 'celebrating obesity' or saying 'it is good to be fat'.

I am obese and I know when some people hear that word they think 'greedy', 'lazy' or picture something very different. I have heard friends and colleagues say things like you have and never even considered what I might feel about it.

There ARE times that I'd agree where it seems like it is being flaunted or even exploited but like many things it is not 'all or nothing', us fat people deserve our humanity and respect as much as the next person. I suppose you'll say you don't disagree with that, you're just saying it isn't healthy and maybe I'm just over sensitive to it but I don't know, I suppose I'm saying 'obese people' are more than our weight. Yeah it's unhealthy (so are a lot of things) but me just 'exisiting' isn't promoting anything. I'm writing this late and I'm tired, does it make sense? 馃ぃ

@helsbels he's not talking about it not being atractive or yes, or that obese people don't deserve love , he's just pointing it's not really healthy

@SW-User Maybe I went off on a tangent a bit but it was the reference to 'glorifying obesity'. I shouldn't be invisible or hidden, or not see people my size on tv, in magazines etc.
@helsbels a person is obese because they are not greedy enough...just like the ridiculously skinny. they don't feel loved or appreciated therefore they use food or starving themselves as a way to compensate. i have been both. and i know i was never loved or appreciated

@DIABLISS Well that's a generalisation that may be true for some but 'the obese' are not a one size fits all category.
@helsbels ...and of course i was trying to be kind and understanding and speaking from a personal side of it and you tell me that this is a generalization. No it isn't. that described most obese people. yes, some have a medical problem that gets out of control but there is still no reason to stay over weight. I lost 31 lbs this past year and i was skinny until 25 years ago from illness and accidents. Then i said, "well, hell with this sh1t!" And i did everything imaginable to lose it....and now in May i am going for it again after maintaining that weight. i hope to be in the normal category very soon.

@DIABLISS Ok, good for you. Sincerely.
