you can not be obese and healthy at the same time

sorry to break it to you all but facts are facts.
Glorifying obesity, this is the world we live in today with certain people.
Why do people struggle to acknowledge reality now and instead act as if their feelings is all that matter and those trump every thing else. It doesnt and if people actually cared for obese people, they would not glorify it and encourage it.

but hey, if you wanna end up in a early grave, keep shoveling in junk food day in and day out and not exercise at all. Its your life

Very negative thoughts there, hun....

Look at those that compete in 'The World's Strongest Man' competitions; they're, in some parts, reaching the best part of 30 stone in weight (around 190kg) and yet they appear in health competitions. Far from being ideal weight.

The whole narrative of girls, especially, being skinny is a complete fallacy, forced upon us by the media. Some 300 years ago, girls of size 14 onwards were seen as 'the ideal'.

Same with boys - the media pushes this whole body dysmorphia thing on them when they feel that they have to be big, have to be strong to compete in the world - get the best job, get the girl etc.

It's sad. Ironically, it's the pursuit of this so called 'ideal body' that is unhealthy.

As long as people feel well, are able to complete the tasks that they need to do throughout the day, do we really need to care? No.

Just my thoughts..

@SarahTheHooker Were/How did they come up with a unit of weight called a stone? A brick would be more consistent.

@SarahTheHooker ok, it says it was originally used as a standard for the weight of wool. Having spent many early springs stomping wool down into a tall burlap bag as a small child i can imagine it. The bag was hung on big nails on a makeshift ladder going into the haymow of the barn. No idea how i managed not breaking my neck but maybe that was the hope and i was too nimble to satisfy their wishes. It was fun though. Like jumping on a mattress.
