you can not be obese and healthy at the same time

sorry to break it to you all but facts are facts.
Glorifying obesity, this is the world we live in today with certain people.
Why do people struggle to acknowledge reality now and instead act as if their feelings is all that matter and those trump every thing else. It doesnt and if people actually cared for obese people, they would not glorify it and encourage it.

but hey, if you wanna end up in a early grave, keep shoveling in junk food day in and day out and not exercise at all. Its your life

I think this is a short sighted approach. The idea that women can be beautiful at any size is essentially trying to challenge the dominate narrative. And women who starve themselves or purge to achieve a socially desired body type aren’t healthy either but do we ever call that out the same way?
And the thing about looking at a body from the outside is you don’t get the whole picture. I’ve been on life saving medication that caused me to balloon out to a weight I’d never been. And I can tell you during that time I didn’t give a shit how fat I looked.
So really how can I assume that a person with a body that fits the current social ascetic isn’t going to drop dead of a heart attack tomorrow. Truth is there are no guarantees.
Weight is more complex than that. And so is assuming a person who is overweight sits around eating junk food all day.

@Notladylike i dont think its short sighted really and yeah anorexia is incredibly unhealthy. The difference is that people dont glorify that and try telling others its healthy. You dont have to be anorexic thin to be healthy though. You can be a little overweight and still be somewhat healthy. I am talking about obesity though.
I am not trying to be insensitive here, I am just over people trying to tell others that it is healthy to be obese. Because it is not and comes with many health complications.
The junk food thing was me just talking shit though haha
@Torsten Again you are basing your opinion purely off what’s visible to your eyes. Yes anorexia tends to be quite an obvious disorder.
However there are a myriad of eating disorders not so easy to spot.
Like the purging that slowly eats away at the body and can cause cardiac arrest. Due to binging cycles may look like a healthy weight.
The amount of ascetically attractive women I know just in my own workplace who survive on coffee, cigarettes and a teaspoon of peanut butter most days.
Yet they are constantly praised for their physique and validated by society.
My point is the body positive trend only exists to offset the harmful reality of the beauty industry and you’ve been conditioned to what you think is attractive and healthy.
Go back a few centuries and you’d likely worship obese women

@Notladylike but i am not claiming any of that is healthy either. saying obesity is not healthy does not mean i ignore the opposite end either. I mention obesity here because its a ever growing thing where people deny that its unhealthy. Its put in beauty magazines, telling people its healthy. Yes anorexic girls are unhealthy and in beauty magazines also but thye dont write in it that anorexia is healthy, or the models go on social media platforms claiming such things.
its considered fatphobic to speak up about this but personally i consider it way more damaging to obese people to encourage it and deny reality

i disagree about saying i have been conditioned to what i find attractive. A odd claim to make when you dont know my preference in women
@Torsten When I say you I meant in the broader sense. Like we all have been socially conditioned and there is no getting away from that.
Torsten · 36-40, M
@Notladylike fair enough but i still dont agree with that. As far as i am concerned you cant control whom you are attracted to and society does not determine that
@Torsten You don’t have to. Just know I could tell you about all the reasons I know I’m right on this 😂.
And no this is not about what you find attractive of course I can’t assume what that is.
But what drives attraction?
Given the right environment and variables you’d stick it in anyone lol
Torsten · 36-40, M
@Notladylike chemical reactions in the brain is what drives attraction.
nah I wouldnt "stick it in anyone" given the right environment haha. I may have low standards but not that low 😆
