I wish one’s weight wasn’t a measure for their beauty 😞

I was having a nice heart-to-heart while catching up with my work assistant Bryanna just now. She was venting to me about her personal insecurities and while I was trying to encourage her, she said it’s easy for me to do so because I’m “way prettier”… 😦 I’m like, you think I’m prettier than you? Are you retarded?! Nah, I didn’t actually say that. 😂 But seriously, she responded to my objection with “Well, you’re all skinny and everything.” Omfg… 🤦‍♀️ Yes, she has a tiny bit more weight on her than I do, but so frickin’ what?! 🤷‍♀️ She’s still very pretty and definitely better-looking than I am! It just irks me that in spite of all the body positivity stuff going around in the media and marketing nowadays, people still subscribe to the widely-accepted of what constitutes as beauty. 🙄 But I suppose that will always be a problem. Nothing sadder than seeing a legit beautiful person think less of themselves just because they may not be a damn twig. Ugh…. 😔

I have a few extra right now and I get WAY more attention when I have this extra weight than when I’m thinner. I call it a Botticelli phase 😆 I would feel insecure about it, but I’m too busy getting laid 😂

And now if only my dear darling friend (you) would apply this same advice to yourself about other aspects (non weight related) 🤪😜🙈
Its asier said than done. We live in a world that just a fww extra pounds is percieved as bad, as wrong. This society makes it that if we are a size 0 to 4 we are fat and yes viewed as ugly, becaus3 that is what we kept being told..
ewww youre ugly and so fat
Omg you should wp4k.out and loae that weight, ita so ugly
Girl if you'd lose the weight you'd be so pretty
Omg you were SO beautiful the (100 pounds lighter)
, so can you just imagine me being a size 22.

How can we, who aren't skinny see ourselves aa beautiful... i can speak for myself... when i hear
Ppl tell me when I say im huge
but you're still pretty
Fat doesn't mean not beautiful
then why ppl always link both as one... and then we are told eat healthier and hit the gym .... do something about it, stop whinning.. .. like yeah i never tried anything lol🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

All you see in this day of age is skinny women and men percieved as beauty and with extra weight as cute, fat up to obese as ugly...its the rlthe reality of what we are living, at least my reality... ppl always say im cute (with to me is a nice way to say im ugly lol) and if one say im pretty, i always say ita cayse you havent see a full pic of me...

@SimplyMeChantou Unfortunately, the majority, being the small-minded sheeple they are, also still subscribe to the widely-accepted idea of what beauty is as well and reinforce it constantly like those example you just named. For whatever it's worth, there are those who are logical, few as we may be, that can be open-minded and not judgmental about one's weight. Also for what it's worth, I always thought you were gorgeous. ❤️

For the record, as someone who’s been a skinny her whole life, it’s not all its cut out to be. I’d trade my scrawny ass for some actual curves any day. 😒
My problem is with weight being used as a marker for being "healthy".

I know that I'm overweight, but I don't eat enough to diet - and no one will help me to get my eating up to healthy levels because I don't look anorexic.

@HootyTheNightOwl I'm thin and I've been having health issues for years. Goes to show what my weight does for me, lol.
@Ducky I believe that I have Chronic Fatigue syndrome on top of being overweight, but I haven't been successful with getting a proper diagnosis yet... so getting my health sorted and learning how to live with this illness has to be more important right now than losing weight is for me.

If I walk a mile in one day, I am in bed for the next seven to ten days recovering from the over exertion. It's basically crippled my life - I can't even sleep a full eight hours without getting acid reflux and having to spend hours sitting up against my pillows (I sleep with the head of my bed raised as it is, to keep my airways open).

Most women look better thin, but different women carry weight differently

I don’t think it is wise or reasonable to make being unhealthy socially acceptable but making expectations to be unhealthily thin is bad also

There's someone for everyone. Personally, I've never preferred model-thin, and yet I wouldn't consider it a turn off. Indeed, it's probably the best time to have curves, ever.
