Ladies, would you be jealous if you had a friend who men thought was drop dead gorgeous?

Stopmakingsense · 56-60, F
Not anymore.
In the eighties there was always just one girl in every port and town that the people could see.
The rest of us were like that other guy standing next to George Michael in WHAM! Invisible. That used to bother me. Not anymore.
Occasionally yess but sometimes I would be like i give 0 shit . Because the truth is once u sre at the receiving end of pain of ill treatment when others ill treat you because you are ugly ; then no matter what happens , even if you become the most gorgeous woman in the room , it will never be the same for you .

When I started dressing up , i was being treated better by the same boys who insulted me before - and the girl who was "drop dead gorgeous" said - that i am looking better than her (as if she was the standard i was reaching).
I am jealous of her .so damn jealous because no matter how good I look now ,i never feel that I am enough ,or their compliments are honest , Or my happiness is real .I hate that she never has so suffer that pain .

I've had those friends, and I am 100% willing to admit that I am extremely envious. However, I will not be mean or petty about it. It's neither their fault nor a bad thing that they're gorgeous. It's also not their fault that I am hideous. So acting negatively towards someone out of jealousy is never ok.

@Myzery you don't have to be hideous or even less attractive to be invisible. Just stand next to a loud lady wearing red lipstick and Schwartzkopf Platinum Blonde number one. It's science.

@Stopmakingsense I'm invisible even when I am the only woman there. It is what it is.
The only time that really bothered me was when some dude was angry at me because no other women were there. Like I had sent a message to every single woman in town and told them not to be where I was so I wouldn't have any competition or something. 😂

@Myzery oh well-. People are just selfish. I remember standing in a hotel in NYC and a tall blonde rich lady named Kate who lived next door to me made a point of looking over the top of my head and said "Oh, too bad! There's nobody here!" then she ran up to my brother and effusively yelled "Santo! Thank God somebody came!"
I've learned to blame her, not me!
Naw. I’m gay, so that’s not much of a concern for me. If I had a friend that my girlfriends thought was drop dead gorgeous, I’d still be fine… but maybe a little jealous. It is what it is. People like what they like, and I’m not a troll or anything.
She's happily married with a couple kids. So, no. She just attracts them and they come home with me. 🤣

“You know those kinds of girls who look like they're made
Of honey and glass like sticky sweet ash
And you can't get the taste off your tongue
Burnt sugar and a little bit of rum”

Wouldn't they be the jealous ones? 🤔

@WendyLopez43 The gorgeous lady is not their friend, or is she?

@WendyLopez43 Then they could be jealous of the guy who friends her a bit better than the rest. 😅
