I Play Cricket

Yesterday I went with a group of year 9 girls from my school to our partner school for boys. We were allowed to use all their PE facilities and do sports that are normally for boys only. Most of the girls did football or basketball, but I learned to play cricket.

Cricket is a really good sport for small people like me 🙂 If you are little, there is less of you to get hit by the ball when you are trying to bat. I practised for half an hour with the boys and they said I did very well for my first attempt 🙂

Cricket is also good because you get to spend lots of time outdoors in the sun and you can go to sleep when it is not your turn to bat 😌

@GentleJoe But you have to be very awake when it is your turn as the ball is very hard 🐻

@TammieBear Yes, you need to be quite awake and alert when you have something hard coming at you!

@KatieJ The best part of the game is being able to sit out in the sun during school time 🙂 I wasn't hit because I am small and can move out of the way of the ball more easily than big people 🙂
