They don't want to go without him

So we had planned on going to see the fantastic four in Saturday. But a few things happen

One Joel doesn't need to go see a movie right now and
Two the royals game was rained out so they are playing a double header.

So the kids called a family meeting tonight mostly Sissy and decided they would rather stay home and watch the game and go see the movie next weekend when he's feeling better.

So where going to have chicken nachos and watch the games here.

I'm really glad they came up with this. He was so touched by it as well. I really didn't want to take 3 kids to the movies by myself but I was prepared to.

A nice relaxing day of baseball game at home. I'm looking forward to it.

That sounds really nice but what stands out more is that your daughter took control over and embraced a schedule change. Seems like great progress to me. 🙂
@OlderSometimesWiser you have no idea how happy this made us when she did this. It was a huge step for her.
@Cigarguy101 Just keep doin what you’re doin dad. 🙂
@OlderSometimesWiser nights like this make me think we're doing something right
@OlderSometimesWiser she had a big change today and did well with that as well. She had dinner with Grandma and Star instead of our us.
@Cigarguy101 You’ve created a space of love, security, safety and acceptance, everything a child needs to thrive and it sounds like she’s doing just that.
@OlderSometimesWiser are you trying to make me cry lol
@Cigarguy101 You deserve every kind word. I’m very touched by your love for and commitment to your children, even more so given the special challenges you’ve had to face. I only wish all children were blessed with parents like you and Joel.
@OlderSometimesWiser ok now you did it I'm crying. This is probably the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me
